The anatomical location is between the latissimus dorsi muscle, longest muscle and iliac rib muscle, with the posterior branch of the 11th intercostal artery and vein, covered with the dermal branch of the posterior branch of the 11th and 12th thoracic nerves, and the deeper layer is the muscle branch of the posterior branch of the 11th and 12th thoracic nerves.
Acupuncture and moxibustion of Spleen Yu point has the effect of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, harmonizing the stomach and lowering the rebelliousness (harmonizing the stomach qi and making the upwardly rebellious qi to descend) and so on. Clinically, acupuncture on Spleen Yu points is mainly used to treat abdominal distension, nausea (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), vomiting, diarrhea, dysentery, blood in stool, edema, back pain, excessive food and hunger, and body emaciation.
If acupuncture is needed, it should be carried out under the guidance of Chinese medicine practitioners and professional doctors, do not blindly do acupuncture on your own to avoid delaying the condition or causing adverse reactions.
