How calcification is caused

The causes of calcification vary depending on the site of calcification. In the case of intrahepatic calcified foci, most of them are due to a substance that remains after the gradual healing of some diseases of the liver, most of them are more stable, and there are no obvious clinical symptoms. In the case of calcified foci in the thyroid or breast, the cause is different depending on the form of the calcification. If the calcification is lumpy, most of them are localized scars of benign disease. If malignancy is considered, prompt surgical treatment is recommended.
