Is it necessary to check the fallopian tubes during IVF

The fallopian tubes may not be checked during IVF. This is because IVF removes eggs directly from a woman’s ovaries, fertilizes them in vitro and implants them in the uterine cavity. IVF is the common name for the in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer technique. It refers to the birth of a baby that is created by artificially fertilizing an egg cell and sperm outside of the body and undergoing early embryonic development before being transferred to the mother’s uterus for development. Specifically, the doctor will take out the sperm and egg of the infertile couple to the outside of the body, complete fertilization and develop into an embryo under the conditions of in vitro culture, and finally transfer the embryo with developmental potential to the uterine cavity of the woman, so that the embryo is planted into the uterus and develops into a fetus inside the uterine cavity, thus achieving the purpose of pregnancy. The whole process does not involve the fallopian tubes, so IVF can be performed without checking the tubes. And women with serious tubal diseases, such as pelvic inflammatory disease leading to tubal blockage and fluid retention; tubal tuberculosis with normal uterine lining; and tubal blockage after ectopic pregnancy surgery are the suitable candidates for IVF. It is important to note that IVF treatment must be carried out after a doctor’s consultation, and can only be carried out if there are clear indications and no contraindications, without violating the relevant national laws and regulations, and in good physical health.
