Cerebral palsy is a common central nervous system disorder syndrome in the pediatric period with a high incidence. According to statistics, there are approximately 8 million cerebral palsy patients nationwide. Cerebral palsy not only causes pain and suffering to the patients, but also brings a heavy burden to many families and the whole society. When people think of cerebral palsy, they think of a group of people with poor intellectual development and mental retardation. In fact, cerebral palsy is not equal to mental retardation. Cerebral palsy is mainly a kind of posture and function or motor dysfunction, and mental retardation is only a concomitant symptom of cerebral palsy, and most of the children with cerebral palsy do not necessarily have mental retardation. Therefore, cerebral palsy is not equal to intellectual disability. After all, 70-80% of cerebral palsy patients have normal intelligence. For some children with cerebral palsy with mental retardation, as well as children with cerebral palsy with combined symptoms such as speech disorders, salivation and strabismus, treatment with carotid artery episiotomy can alleviate and improve the related symptoms to a certain extent. For the majority of children with spastic cerebral palsy with normal intelligence, peripheral nerve narrowing or selective posterior spinal nerve root dissection can improve and relieve the symptoms of limb spasticity if necessary, and with postoperative targeted rehabilitation training, normal motor function can be restored as much as possible.
