Lung cancer 1cm is not serious in general, but this situation should be viewed in different layers, that is to say, there are some different situations. First of all, there are different pathological types, for example, if it is a peripheral 1cm lung adenocarcinoma, which has not invaded the pleura and is an isolated lesion, then it is a stage Ia lung cancer, which can be completely cured without any other treatments after resection at a very early stage. Secondly, if this lung cancer is 1cm, but it is a small cell lung cancer, and it is close to the big bronchial tube, then this situation is more tricky, because even if the lesion of small cell lung cancer is relatively small, distant metastasis is possible, and we only see this on the lungs, but if we do a whole body examination, we may find that there are metastatic foci in the brain or bones, and that would be very serious already. Therefore, although 1cm lung cancer is not serious in general, it should be evaluated by combining its pathological type, location, invasive site, and even different molecular typing under the same pathological type.
