All diseases are caused by the heart, happy in order to maintain health

The Huangdi Neijing – Suwen – Linglan Secret Discourse says: “The heart is the official of the sovereign, from which the gods emerge”, and “the main unknown is the danger of the twelve officials”. The heart is also “the master of the five viscera and six bowels” (“Ling Shu – evil guest”), the heart is the master of blood, the nutrition of the five viscera, six bowels, 12 meridians, 365 veins, limbs, nine orifices, etc., all rely on its blood supply, indicating that the heart in the organs and meridians in the primary position. Among the many ways to maintain health, I believe that emotional health is the most important. To maintain health, first of all, we must know what is to maintain health. To maintain health is not deliberate, and there is no fixed program to maintain health, but to maintain health should be the cultivation of the state of mind, is to follow the natural process. Zhuangzi – Dasheng Chapter: “Good nourishment of life, such as shepherding sheep, depending on the subsequent and whip.” There is no fixed formula for nurturing life, but rather a way to build on one’s strengths and make up for one’s weaknesses. Just like a shepherd with a flock of sheep, only when a certain sheep fell out of line, to catch up, the whole flock will follow up. Regarding the nurturing of the heart, there are “five things”: one should be normal, two should be kind, three should be generous, four should be quiet, and five should be happy. One of the key words for nurturing the heart is “light”. The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine talks about “calmness and emptiness, the true energy from it, the spirit within the guard, the disease is safe from”. People who really know how to maintain health can achieve a light state of mind, not to be happy with things, not to be sad with themselves. “The heart to the ordinary is true”, keep a normal heart to live a real life. As the saying goes, “Life is rare in seventy years, and there are monks left who are even rarer. If you ask what magic to prolong your life, a lifetime of indifference to nourish the heart.” The second keyword is “benevolence”, kindness and love. The “Essentials of Health in China and Abroad” says: “Always look at the people of the world, all gentle people live long, the quality of kindness and goodness live long, the amount of generosity live long, the silent between words live long. Cover four, the end of benevolence also, so it is said that the benevolent life.” Confucianism, which has had a profound influence on Chinese medicine and health care, pays great attention to psychological adjustment in the process of health care. “Those who can nourish their bodies with neutrality, their longevity is extremely life.” Confucius believed that “nurturing virtue is the first key to health” and that only those with benevolent virtue can lead to the path of longevity. “These principles are also applicable to modern people: “Nurture your heart and virtue, and you will be blessed with longevity and health. As a doctor, you should have a kind and loving heart. It is the patient who makes the doctor, so we should always be grateful to the patient. During a visit to Wutai Mountain, he wrote this poem: “The light of Buddha and the sound of Brahma surround Wutai, the boundless coolness is far away from the dust, but seeking the ferry in the heart of the charity voyage, without a surplice is also like a Buddha.” This is also his guideline for medical practice. The third keyword of the “Five Keys” is “broad”, forgiving and open-minded. Open-mindedness is a kind of transcendence, is the liberation of the spirit of self. People must have the pursuit, the pursuit is one thing, the result is one thing. Open-mindedness is a kind of tolerance, grand and generous, without any stigma, big belly can tolerate, the sea to accept a hundred rivers. Su Dongpo’s life of ups and downs, but “the sudden approach and not surprised, no reason to add and not angry”; Shen Congwen or Ma Yinchu, some of the ups and downs of the great man, for all the injustice of life, misfortune, are covered by its broad-mindedness and knowledge, as well as the indomitable vitality bred by the goodness and loyalty of morality! Overcome! The fourth key word is “Jing”, which means “tranquility,” and “happiness”. Wei-Jin health practitioner JI Kang said in the “health theory” that “there are five difficulties in health: fame and fortune do not extinguish, this one difficulty, joy and anger do not remove, this two difficulties, sound and color do not go, this three difficulties, taste is not extinguished, this four difficulties, the gods consider the essence of scattered, this five difficulties.” Therefore, the mind is quiet to remove the five difficulties. Tao Hongjing in the “health and life” in the advocate of adjusting the shape of God, “small burners to stay light”, the oil lamp used in the past, the oil that can hold is limited. If three wick grasses are left in the lamp, the lamp cone is large and the light is bright; if two are left, the lamp cone is larger and the light is brighter; if one is left, the lamp cone is small and the light is dim, so it is difficult to distinguish the face of the person in front of the lamp. However, leave three wick grass, light is bright, but only illuminate a night; leave a wick grass, dark is dark, but can illuminate three nights. Each person’s life course has a limit, just like the amount of oil in the oil lamp has a burn time limit. If you are very happy and sad, alcoholism and indulgence, it is like a large lamp, the oil will soon run out; if you are emotionally stable, clear mind and abstain from desire, it is like a small lamp, although not too bright, but can last. The keyword is “joy”, happy and contented. In a study, researchers investigated the health, morale, optimism, self-esteem and interpersonal relationships of 1,000 men and women between the ages of 65 and 85, and after 10 years of follow-up, researchers found that, compared with very pessimistic people, very optimistic people have a lower risk of dying from any disease than 55%. Advocate life, do things with care, but do not worry, worry. People who have are worried about “loss”, people who don’t have are worried about “gain”, but become worried about gain and loss. The ancient poet Bai Juyi is good at health, Bai Juyi most of his life, not only career difficulties, but also the loss of his son in old age, he wrote in “withered mulberry” to the metaphor of withered mulberry “Road near the old withered tree, withered not a day. The skin is yellow and still alive, but the heart is black and burnt. There are those who seem to worry a lot, but not because of external fire.” Faced with the reality of life, in which sorrowful events often occurred, he always actively solved his sorrow and was optimistic, which is probably why he was called “Bai Le Tian”.
