How eyelid tumors are treated

Eyelid tumors are very common in ophthalmology and are generally divided into two categories, benign and malignant, depending on the nature of the mass. Benign tumors include: 1. Hemangiomas. In this case, early on, the disease can be temporarily observed for a period of time as it has a tendency to regress on its own. If it gradually increases, tretinoin injection can be injected into it to promote the regression of the tumor. 2. pigmented nevus. For this condition, if there is no obvious enlargement, darkening or breaking or bleeding, treatment can be unnecessary. When the above conditions appear, complete excision is needed. 3.Yellow tumor. This condition is mostly seen in elderly people, and if it causes very obvious effects on appearance, surgical removal can be considered. Malignant tumors mainly include: 1. basal cell carcinoma; 2. squamous cell carcinoma; 3. sebaceous gland carcinoma. For these diseases, surgery is usually recommended, and postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy are required for symptomatic treatment.
