What is lumbar muscle strain?

Causes of lumbar muscle strain (1) Acute lumbar sprain and long-term recurrent lumbar muscle strain. (2) Untimely treatment and improper treatment methods. (3) Long-term repeated excessive lumbar movement and excessive load, such as long periods of sitting, standing or from the bent position to the upright position holding heavy objects, lifting objects, can make the lumbar muscle in a long-term high tension state, over time can lead to chronic lumbar muscle strain. (4) chronic lumbar muscle strain and climate, environmental conditions also have a certain relationship, the temperature is too low or humidity is too large can promote or aggravate the lumbar muscle strain. The manifestations of lumbar muscle strain: soreness or swelling of the lumbar region, some stabbing or burning pain. 2. aggravated by exertion and relieved by rest; relieved by proper activity and frequent changes of position and aggravated by excessive activity. 3. unable to insist on bending over for work. The pain is often relieved by stretching the waist or hitting the waist with the fist. 4. There are pressure points in the waist, mostly at the sacrospinous muscle, the posterior iliac spine, the posterior sacrospinous stop of the sacrum or the transverse process of the lumbar vertebrae. 5. There is no abnormality in the shape and activity of the waist, and there is no obvious spasm of the lumbar muscles, and a few patients have slightly restricted movement of the waist. Treatment of lumbar muscle strain: 1. Avoid overworking and correcting poor body position. 2, appropriate functional exercise, such as lumbar back muscle exercise, to prevent muscle tension disorders. 3.Physiotherapy, massage and other tendon-relaxing and blood-activating therapy. 4.Medication: mainly anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving drugs and Chinese medicine to relax the tendons and activate the blood. 5.Closure therapy: for those who have fixed pressure pain points, 0.5-1% procaine 5-10ml plus prednisolone acetate or hydrocortisone acetate 0.5-1ml can be used for pain point closure, which is effective.
