The weight of 35-week preterm infants is approximately 2081-2937g. Given that it has been recognized that estimated fetal weight is affected by multiple factors such as fetal sex and maternal birth order, parental race, height, weight, age, etc., the guideline suggests that in China, under the existing conditions, fetal growth curves based on data from Chinese populations should be chosen as much as possible, such as semi-customized fetal growth curves based on Chinese populations, with the 10th and 90th percentiles of estimated fetal weight at 35 weeks’ gestation being 2081 and 2937 g. Therefore, it is believed that the weight of preterm infants at 35 weeks of gestation is around 2081-2937 g. Generally speaking, fetuses born after 24 weeks of maternal gestation are likely to survive after birth, but their viability is very poor; generally speaking, the viability gradually increases after 28 weeks; however, for preterm infants born at 35 weeks, due to the weaker crying ability of preterm infants at this stage, their poor sucking ability, and their viability indexes fluctuating between good and fair, therefore, preterm infants born at this stage need to be taken care of after birth.
