If your condition requires it, you can drink angelica under the guidance of your doctor on the third day of the month.
Angelica sinensis is the dried root of Angelica sinensis, family Umbelliferae. It is sweet, pungent and warm in nature. It belongs to the liver, heart and spleen meridians. It can nourish blood and activate blood circulation, regulate menstruation and relieve pain, moisten the bowels and laxative. Used for blood deficiency, dizziness, palpitations, menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, cold abdominal pain, rheumatism paralysis, bruises, carbuncle (a kind of poisonous sores, acute suppurative diseases occurring on the surface of the body, limbs, internal organs) sores, intestinal dryness and constipation.
Because of the warm nature of Angelica sinensis, it is forbidden to be taken by patients with fever and bleeding; Angelica sinensis has the effect of laxative, so it is prudent to be taken by those who are full of dampness (dampness is too heavy to cause fullness and discomfort in the spleen and stomach) and those who have loose stools.
Patients are advised not to self-medicate to avoid discomfort.
