Western medicine treatment of breast tuberculosis should be a combination of anti-tuberculosis drugs and surgery, and at the same time should strengthen nutrition, rest and other systemic support therapy. The specific methods of western medicine for the treatment of breast tuberculosis are: 1. Anti-tuberculosis therapy: (1) Streptomycin 0.5 g, intramuscular injection, twice a day. (2) Isoniazid 0.1 g, orally, 3 times a day. Rifampin, ethambutol, etc. are also available orally. If there is no other site of breast tuberculosis lesion, the medication should be used before and after surgery from 2 weeks before to 1 month after surgery. 2. Surgical treatment (1) Nodular type. The lesion can be excised, so as to remove cleanly, stop bleeding thoroughly, local infiltration with streptomycin powder spray, wound suture without drainage, and slight pressure bandage. (2) Tactile and sclerotic type. If the disease exceeds 1 quadrant or more than 1/3 of the breast, total mastectomy is performed. (3) With ulceration and sinus tract formation. Total mastectomy can be performed to treat breast tuberculosis after the infection is controlled with anti-tuberculosis drugs and antibiotics.
