CT Thoracoabdominal Aortic Angiography is a method of examining aortic vascular lesions by injecting an iodine contrast medium through a peripheral vein. CT thoracoabdominal aortic angiography generally uses spiral transection scanning to examine the thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta, and other parts of the aorta. CT thoracoabdominal aortic angiography can visualize the entire aorta, allowing for a clearer view of whether there is stenosis in the aortic lumen, as well as the location and degree of stenosis; whether there is an aortic coarctation, as well as the extent of the coarctation; and whether there is an aortic aneurysm, as well as the size of the aortic aneurysm, and whether there is an impact on the surrounding tissues. CT thoracoabdominal aortic angiography is a noninvasive test. If there is a lesion, further testing with aortography is needed to confirm the diagnosis of the disease.
