At present, the causes of mouth ulcers are complex and not completely clear, and may be related to trauma, mental factors, local oral infections, systemic diseases, vitamin deficiency and other factors.
1. Trauma: frequent oral ulcers should be considered whether there are irritating factors in the mouth that cause ulcers, such as bad restorations, sharp tooth tips, or teeth grow irregularly and wear unsuitable dentures.
2. Mental factors: some patients with long-term depression, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, etc., may lead to recurrent mouth ulcers.
3. Localized oral infections: For example, if the patient’s hygiene of the whole stomatognathic system, i.e. the oral system, is very poor, it may cause localized inflammation of the oral cavity. For example, if the patient has caries, periapical periodontitis, endodontic disease, and related gingivitis, periodontitis, etc., due to the stimulation of inflammatory factors, it is easy to make mouth ulcers recurring.
4. Systemic diseases: there may be endocrine system, gastrointestinal system, and systemic diseases of the whole body can cause mouth ulcers.
5. Vitamin deficiency: If the patient does not like to eat or seldom eats vitamin-rich foods such as fruits and leafy vegetables, it is easy to lead to vitamin B2, B12 and vitamin C deficiency, resulting in the occurrence of mouth ulcers.
Frequent mouth ulcers are often related to personal physical condition, should pay attention to oral hygiene, avoid local irritation. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
