Is prostate cancer stage t2 early or intermediate?

Whether prostate cancer stage T2 is early or intermediate has to be evaluated in conjunction with other factors.

According to TNM grading system of prostate cancer, the tumor in T2 stage is palpable and confined to the prostate gland, which can be subdivided into T2a, T2b and T2c stages.

1. T2a stage: the tumor is confined to one-half or less of a unilateral lobe.

2. T2b stage: the tumor invades more than one-half of the unilateral lobe, but is limited to one lobe.

3. T2c stage: tumor invades both lobes.

It is also important to consider the N-stage, which is the lymph node conversion, and the M-stage, which is for skeletal metastases, non-regional lymph nodes outside the pelvis, and visceral metastases. In addition, PSA, Gleason score and other factors should also be considered for prognostic risk of prostate.

If you suffer from prostate cancer, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible and receive individualized and standardized treatment under the guidance of professional doctors to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival period.
