Right Angelica Pill and Jin Gui Ren Qi Pill should not be taken together as they have the same herbs with overlapping effects.
Right Angelica Pill consists of gunpowder, yam, cuscuta, angelica sinensis, ripened diabetes, cornelian cherry and cinnamon. It has the functions of warming and tonifying kidney yang, filling up essence and stopping spermatorrhea (filling up and stabilizing essence, preventing spermatorrhea and sperm slippage). It can be used to treat lumbago, weakness of feet and waist, fear of cold, impotence, spermatorrhea, and loose stools caused by deficiency of kidney yang and failure of vital fire (weakness of kidney yang, which reduces the function of warming and promoting the operation of qi and blood).
It has the functions of warming and tonifying kidney yang, transforming qi to move water (promoting the operation of gases, thus promoting the operation of water and liquids). It can be used for kidney deficiency and edema, fear of cold, lumbago and foot weakness, and dysuria (unsmooth urination).
The adverse reactions of the above drugs are not clear. Jin Gui Ren Qi Pill is contraindicated for pregnant women, avoiding intercourse, gas and cold food.
Both Right Angelica Pill and Jin Gui Kidney Qi Pill contain yam, epimedium and cornelian cherry, which have the function of warming the kidney yang. Taking them together may lead to excessive dosage of the same drug, which may affect the health of the body, therefore, they should not be taken together. Before combining drugs, you should consult your physician and use them under the guidance of your physician, don’t blindly use drugs on your own.
