What’s wrong with toe pain in socks?

Toe pain in socks may be caused by socks that are too small and too tight, but we cannot rule out pathological factors such as toe trauma, ingrown toenails, gingivitis, degenerative joint lesions and so on. 1. Socks are too small and too tight: too small and too tight socks can produce long time binding and squeezing of the toes, thus causing toe pain, and the symptoms can be gradually relieved after choosing the right socks. 2. Pathological factors (1) Trauma to the toes: If the toes are hit and squeezed, wearing socks can stimulate the damaged area, thus causing pain. (2) Ingrown nails: most of them are related to improper nail trimming, which causes the nails to grow inside the nail groove, and when wearing socks, the affected area can be extruded and cause pain in the toes. (3) Inflammation of the nail groove: Inflammation can be caused when the tissues around the nail are infected by tiny trauma and Candida, etc. Inflammation stimulation and the extrusion brought by wearing socks can cause pain in the toes. (4) Degenerative joint disease: If there are bone spurs growing in the toe joints, wearing socks will affect the local activities and cause pain due to abnormalities in the toe joints. If the pain in the toe after wearing socks is obvious and lasts for a long time, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the disease and then actively treat it, so as not to delay the condition.
