Recipe for Xiao Han Xia Tang

Xiao Han Xia Tang is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber”, which is mainly composed of two Chinese herbs: Han Xia and Ginger. Xiaohuansia Tang is mainly composed of hemixia and ginger, in which hemixia resolves dampness and removes phlegm, harmonizes the stomach and reduces rebelliousness (harmonizes the stomach qi and makes the upward rebellious qi to descend), and is combined with ginger, which not only restricts the toxicity of hemixia, but also strengthens the effect of warming the middle part and harmonizing the stomach (warms the spleen and stomach and harmonizes the stomach and internal organs) and stops vomiting. Therefore, this formula mainly has the effect of resolving phlegm and dispersing drink, harmonizing the stomach and lowering the inverted qi, and is mainly used for treating phlegm-drinking (pathological products formed by the impaired metabolism of water and liquid) vomiting, which is seen as vomiting phlegm and saliva, with no thirst in the mouth or dry vomiting and eructation, and no eating and drinking. Xiaohuansha Tang is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription, the specific selection should also be in the physician under the guidance of the diagnosis of addition, subtraction and tailoring, not blindly prepared or used on their own, so as to avoid the use of improper medication, causing unnecessary effects on the organism.
