Effects of Cisapride

Cisapride is a drug commonly used to promote gastrointestinal motility, which can help promote peristalsis and prevent retention and reflux of food residues. Because cisapride does not inhibit acetylcholine activity and has no dopamine receptor blocking effect, it does not increase gastric acid secretion and does not elevate the amount of prolactin in plasma. The main diseases treated are: 1. gastroparesis caused by various reasons, such as gastroparesis caused by mental stimulation, trauma, large burns, etc. 2. pseudo-intestinal obstruction, such as transient gastrointestinal spasm, etc. 3. gastroesophageal reflux disease. 4. stomach and digestive tract discomfort caused by various reasons, such as chronic gastritis, gastric distension, stomach acidity, hiccups, belching, etc. Adverse reactions such as dizziness, gastrointestinal spasm, diarrhea, cardiac arrhythmia, etc. may occur during drug administration.
