What’s with the uneven internal echoes?

Uneven internal echoes is a term used in ultrasound that suggests some abnormality in the structure of the body, but it depends on the site of the ultrasound, for example, breast ultrasound suggesting uneven internal echoes is commonly found in breast hyperplasia.

1. Breast ultrasound: If the breast ultrasound suggests uneven internal echoes, it may be caused by overgrowth of breast tissues and localized lumps, which is common in the disease of breast hyperplasia.

2. Ultrasound of uterine adnexa: if the ultrasound of uterine adnexa suggests that the internal echo is not uniform, then it may be ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, uterine adenomyosis and other organic diseases.

3. Ultrasound of the thyroid gland: if the ultrasound of the thyroid gland suggests that the internal echoes are not uniform, it may be caused by enlargement of the thyroid gland or thyroiditis or thyroid nodules.
