If the process of simultaneous testing for celiac disease reveals that it is positive for HPV, in this case, the next step needs to be decided based on which type of HPV is positive. There are generally 14 types of HPV high-risk types, and if the test shows HPV16 or HPV18 positivity, you need to go straight to colposcopy. Because these two types of infections lead to cervical lesions, the chance of cervical malignancy is higher, so direct colposcopy is needed. In the case of other types of HPV infection, the decision needs to be based on whether the cervical cytology is abnormal. If the cytology is abnormal, colposcopy is needed; if the cytology is negative, antiviral treatment is needed, and the test will be repeated in six months.
