What physical symptoms could be a precursor to cancer

Generally the early symptoms of cancer are not specific, and there may be some irregular abnormal manifestations in normal areas, which are differentiated according to the site of cancer.
1. Gradual enlargement of lumps in any part of the body, at this time, the growth of most lumps is out of control.
2. Long-standing ulcers in any part of the body, which may cause malignant transformation of the cells in the ulcers.
3. Irregular vaginal bleeding or increased leukorrhea in middle-aged women may be malignant tumor of the uterus.
4. Discomfort behind the sternum, heartburn or progressive dysphagia after eating may be esophageal cancer.
5. Uncured dry cough or blood in sputum.
6. Prolonged indigestion, progressive loss of appetite, and unexplained weight loss.
7. Changes in bowel habit and abnormal defecation, which may be due to mass in descending colon or malignant tumor in sigmoid colon and rectum.
8. Nasal congestion and nosebleed, which can be seen in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
9. Painless hematuria, which can be seen in bladder cancer, prostate cancer and kidney cancer.
However, the above early symptoms of cancer are not specific and may not attract patients’ attention. It is recommended to have regular cancer screening and early diagnosis and treatment in order to recognize early cancer.
