Is glutathione 52 normal?

The normal range of ALT is generally 0-40 U/L. When the value of ALT reaches 52 U/L, it is already above the normal range and is abnormal. However, the value is only mildly elevated and not necessarily clinically significant. It may also be caused by alcohol consumption, high-fat foods, strenuous exercise, certain medications, or overexertion. If these factors are present, the liver function can be reviewed at a later date to further observe whether there is a true elevation of glutathione. In clinical practice, the severity of the disease cannot be judged solely on the basis of the value of GLTA. Sometimes, although GLTA is only mildly elevated, bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase and glutamyl transpeptidase may be significantly elevated, which is also indicative of hepatobiliary system disease and requires prompt treatment, and sometimes even surgery to achieve clinical cure.
