Epicondylar pain is mainly caused by soft tissue injury, trauma, gouty inflammation, rheumatoid and tennis elbow, etc. General and drug treatment and closed treatment are the mainstay.
1. Soft tissue injury: pain caused by sprain-induced soft tissue injury of the ankle is the most common. Cold compresses can be used to relieve pain when spraining, and hot compresses can be applied after 72 hours.
2. Trauma: There is usually a history of trauma. Soft tissue trauma to the lateral epicondyle caused by sports or violence, according to the principle of trauma treatment, mainly including surgical debridement, oral or intravenous drugs to prevent infection, pain relief after a period of rest.
3. Gouty arthritis: localized precipitation of urate crystals on the epicondyle, accompanied by elevation of uric acid, which may cause severe pain. General treatment and medication are the main treatment modalities, the former such as low purine diet, drink more water, drugs such as glucocorticoid prednisone acetate, whose long-term use can cause weight gain and acne.
4. Rheumatoid disease: If it is caused by rheumatoid, the treatment is mainly oral anti-rheumatic painkillers, such as ibuprofen extended-release capsules. During the use of this drug, a few patients may experience nausea, vomiting, heartburn and other symptoms.
5. Tennis elbow: The more common cause of epicondylar pain is aseptic inflammation of the epicondyle. Treatment can be oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen, etc., and serious conditions can be closed treatment.
Epicondylar pain symptoms alone can not accurately determine the cause, but also need to be combined with the characteristics of the medical history, other test results to make an accurate judgment, it is recommended that the cause of the disease under the guidance of a doctor.
