How to Treat Arrhythmia

Arrhythmia, i.e. cardiac arrhythmia, is commonly categorized as sinus arrhythmia, atrial premature beats, ventricular premature beats, atrial fibrillation, and atrioventricular block. It should be treated separately according to different types. If atrial fibrillation wants to change the heart rhythm, drugs such as amiodarone can be applied; if the heart rate is slow and needs to be elevated, atropine, cardioplegia pills or implantation of a pacemaker can be applied; if the heart rate is too fast and needs to be slowed down, metoprolol, bisoprolol, etc. can be applied.
For atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, first of all, we should consider reversing the heart rhythm, and can apply amiodarone; for atrial premature beats or ventricular premature beats, it is recommended to apply medications to reduce the number of premature beats, for example, metoprolol, propafenone and so on.
If the arrhythmia is accompanied by fast ventricular rate, such as sinus arrhythmia with sinus tachycardia, atrial fibrillation with fast ventricular rate. Drugs need to be applied to slow down the heart rate, such as applying metoprolol, bisoprolol, etc. to reduce the heart rate.
If the arrhythmia is accompanied by bradycardia, such as atrioventricular block, medications can be applied to elevate the heart rate, such as atropine, isoproterenol, and cardioplegia pills. Severe atrioventricular block is poorly treated with drugs and requires pacemaker implantation.
If arrhythmia exists, it is recommended to go to the cardiology department of the hospital for specialized treatment.
