High progesterone in the early stages of pregnancy does not need to be treated. A moderate increase in progesterone relaxes the uterine muscles and facilitates early embryo implantation and growth and development, thus reducing the incidence of preterm abortion. In early pregnancy, after the embryo is transferred to the uterine cavity, the corpus luteum of the ovary begins to secrete progesterone. A progesterone level between 15-25 ng/ml is normal in early pregnancy. If the progesterone level is too low, below 6ng/ml, there is a high chance of spontaneous abortion. In the early stage of pregnancy, women should pay attention to proper rest, live a regular life to avoid staying up late and getting cold, and eat more foods with high progesterone, such as soy products, nuts, kiwi, and other foods with high protein such as chicken, ribs, fish and shrimp, in order to facilitate the growth and development of the early embryo.
