The main treatment is to use topical antifungal medication, while making sure to avoid wearing the same pair of shoes every day, keeping the shoes dry, and washing the feet with warm water every night, while making sure to wash the socks. The lesions can be treated with topical liranaprost cream, terbinafine cream, bifenazole cream, etc. Generally, the medication is used continuously and continued for one to two weeks after improvement to avoid recurrence of the rash. Tinea pedis is contagious be careful to avoid sharing foot basins, towels, slippers, etc. with family members.
