Warm Bile Tang is used for treating bile and phlegm disturbance (internal disturbance of phlegm, malfunction of bile’s evacuation and excretion), symptoms such as timid and easy to be frightened (fearfulness in the heart, not daring to meet people, easily frightened), dizziness and palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), restlessness and sleeplessness, and nighttime strange dreams. Er Chen Tang should be used with caution for those with dry phlegm; Er Chen Tang is contraindicated for those with vomiting of blood, thirst, yin deficiency and blood deficiency.
