Why can’t bowel cancer patients eat coarse fiber food?

It is generally believed that consuming coarse fiber foods can help prevent constipation and diarrhea better, but remind colon cancer patients that if they consume a large amount of coarse fiber foods, it will cause the intestinal lumen to bulge and the intestinal lumen to narrow, because the intake of too much dietary fiber will cause intestinal obstruction. These foods of coarse fiber, because of their coarse fiber, are difficult to digest and absorb, which will increase the burden of stomach, so colon cancer patients should eat less. It is worth noting that coffee also has coarse fiber as its main component, which should be prohibited during the illness. In addition, patients should avoid eating dry food, cinnamon, mustard, chili and other foods that are too hot and dry. Eat less or no food rich in saturated fat and cholesterol, including: lard, butter, fatty meat, animal offal, fish roe, etc.
