Chronic leukemia includes chronic granulocytic leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Some patients with chronic leukemia have the possibility of being cured through the treatment of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and some patients cannot be cured, but their survival time can be effectively prolonged with the use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors and other drugs. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is not curable although it develops slowly. 1. Chronic granulocytic leukemia: young patients with suitable donors can undergo allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and some patients can achieve long-term remission or even cure. Disease-free survival is greatly prolonged after the use of targeted drugs such as imatinib in patients with increasing age. 2. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia: most patients can be treated with ibrutinib or nitrogen mustard phenylbutyrate combined with rituximab, which can effectively improve the quality of patients’ survival and prolong their life span, although it is difficult to cure. All the above drugs should be applied under the guidance of doctors.
