Prevention and care of pediatric fever

Fever is an abnormal increase in body temperature and is a common condition in children. Given its physiopathological characteristics, fever can occur in many acute and chronic conditions. Due to the different physical conditions of children, the changes in the condition are often complex and must be identified and managed in the context of seasonal, climatic and symptomatic differences. The daily temperature of normal children can fluctuate, and when it exceeds the basal body temperature by 1℃, it can be considered as fever (the temperature should be measured half an hour after activity and one hour after eating). At present, the treatment methods often used in the clinic mainly include antipyretic drugs as well as antibiotics and other medications, which are less acceptable to children. In case of unexplained fever and recurrent fever, routine auxiliary examination should be done to identify the cause of fever for treatment. If the fever is simple (body temperature <38.5℃) or combined with medication, parents can use the following health care practices for antipyretic treatment. (1) Open the Heavenly Gate: Open the Heavenly Gate 50 times, using the threaded surface of both thumbs, push upward from the child's eyebrows to the edge of the front hairline alternately (Figure 2-1). (5) Clearing the Tianhe water: clear the Tianhe water 300 times, using the threaded side of the thumb or the threaded side of the index and middle fingers, pushing from the transverse wrist line of the child to the transverse elbow line (Figure 2-5). 2. (1) Push the six internal organs: push the six internal organs 300 times, using the threaded side of the thumb or the threaded side of the index and middle fingers with force, pushing from the medial end of the transverse elbow of the child along the forearm to the ulnar end of the transverse wrist (Figure 2-8). 3, medium: can be used onion and ginger water or water. 4.Course of treatment: If the child's high fever does not subside, pushing 2-3 times a day can be effective.
