Neuroblastoma is usually referred to as neuroblastoma, which can be metastasized in early stage and is easy to be misdiagnosed. As neuroblastoma occurs in a wide range of areas, there are many clinical symptoms when it reaches the late stage, which can be analyzed from the aspects of general symptoms, local symptoms, metastatic symptoms and special symptoms, etc. 1, general symptoms: when the patient is in the late stage of neuroblastoma, he/she may have long-term unexplained fever, which may be low in the beginning, and with the development of the disease, some of the patients may have irregular high fever, and may be accompanied by pallor, anemia, loss of appetite and other symptoms. With the development of the disease, some patients may show irregular high fever, which may be accompanied by pale face, anemia, loss of appetite, emaciation, weight loss and so on. If the patient’s tumor has invaded the bone marrow, it may be combined with severe anemia symptoms. In addition, some serious patients may suffer from malnutrition and emaciation, which may even lead to malignant disease; 2. Local symptoms: if neuroblastoma occurs in the neck, it can usually compress stellate ganglion, which may cause Honer syndrome, at this time, patients may suffer from shrinkage of pupil on the affected side, drooping eyelid, aniridia, and other manifestations. If the neuroblastoma occurs in the posterior mediastinum, it may compress the bronchial tubes, which may cause cough, respiratory infection, dyspnea, dysphagia, or circulatory disturbances. If the neuroblastoma occurs in the abdomen, it can compress the intestinal tubes and cause digestive dysfunction, and the patient may experience significant loss of appetite and vomiting. If neuroblastoma occurs in pelvis, it can compress rectum or bladder, which can cause constipation or urinary retention and other symptoms; 3, metastatic symptoms: when neuroblastoma occurs cranial orbital metastasis in the late stage, it is possible that petechiae and bulges will appear in the local area, and sometimes it can cause protruding eyeballs and other symptoms. When bone metastasis occurs, it may cause obvious bone pain and other symptoms. If the metastatic site is adjacent to the joints, it may cause joint dysfunction and pain in the joint area, and pathological fracture is also likely to occur at this time. If neuroblastoma has bone marrow metastasis in the late stage, it may manifest as refractory anemia, and bleeding and thrombocytopenia; 4, special symptoms: when neuroblastoma is in the late stage, in addition to the above mentioned lesions, part of neuroblastoma is able to secrete vasoactive intestinal peptide, and the patients may manifest intractable watery diarrhea, low blood potassium and so on. As the lesions may cause abnormal catecholamine metabolism, some patients may have excessive sweating, palpitations, irritability and so on. In summary, when neuroblastoma exists, patients with advanced stage may have various symptoms, but each symptom is not specific, and not all patients will have all the above symptoms, and there are obvious differences. It is recommended to seek medical treatment in time when relevant lesions appear, so as to avoid the development of advanced stage and life-threatening situation due to incomplete treatment of lesions.
