Corded hyperdense shadow, a medical term more commonly used in imaging, may be associated with inflammation, calcification, fibrosis, and other factors. Striated hyperintense shadows, also known as striated shadows, are one of the most common clinical findings on lung imaging, with the most common factor being lung infection, followed by calcification and pulmonary fibrosis. The presence of striated shadows in the lungs should be analyzed in conjunction with clinical symptoms, past history, and other laboratory findings. For patients with cough and sputum, lung infection is usually considered, and anti-infective drugs, such as ceftriaxone, should be given actively, and the patient should be re-examined after treatment. For the upper lobe or middle lobe of the lungs appeared cord-like shadow, also need to consider the possibility of tuberculosis or old tuberculosis with calcification, this situation needs to be combined with sputum examination or tuberculin test for analysis. For streaks of pulmonary fibrosis, it is important to conduct regular follow-ups and administer medications as necessary.
