A temperature of 37.5 measured by the ear is not normal and is considered hypothermia.
Human body temperature is usually measured in the armpits, mouth and rectum, of which the most commonly used measurement method in life is the armpit thermometry. Other parts of the body temperature measurement is not inaccurate, but the armpit measurement is relatively more convenient and easy to accept.
Ear thermometry should be measured using a thermometer, not a mercury thermometer, and the actual difference in body temperature measured by the various methods mentioned above is not significant.
According to the different body temperatures, fever can be divided into four categories: low fever, moderate fever, high fever and ultra-high fever. In low fever, the temperature is between 37.3-38 degrees; in moderate fever, the temperature is between 38.1-39 degrees; in high fever, the temperature is between 39.1-41 degrees; and in ultra-high fever, the temperature is greater than 41 degrees.
If the body temperature is elevated, it indicates that the organism may be in a state of disease or infection, and it is recommended to take several measurements to seek the average value in order to minimize the error. Meanwhile, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time, to clarify the cause of targeted treatment.
