The relationship between the adrenal glands and the kidneys

The relationship between the adrenal glands and the kidneys. The adrenal glands are glandular tissues located above the kidneys on both sides and have the function of secreting adrenal salt corticosteroids and glucocorticoids, regulating fat, protein and sugar metabolism, as well as secreting adrenaline, thus maintaining blood pressure, regulating nerves and the function of internal organs. Renin angiotensin secreted by the kidney is formed with aldosterone from the adrenal glands to form the renin angiotensin, aldosterone system. When the kidneys are ischemic, the increased secretion of renin angiotensin will cause increased secretion of aldosterone, resulting in increased blood pressure in the body, as well as hypokalemia, or secondary aldosteronism. The adrenal glands and the kidneys are closely related in terms of location and endocrine regulation.
