Complications after electrical resuscitation therapy

For electrical resuscitation in the treatment of arrhythmias, if non-synchronous DC resuscitation is chosen, there may be, for example, local skin erythema, allergy, and pain. For synchronous DC resuscitation, patients may experience complications such as various arrhythmias, decreased blood pressure, intractable hypotension, fever, increased serum creatine kinase, and peripheral arterial embolism, including cerebral embolism, mesenteric artery embolism, and lower extremity arterial thrombosis. Occasionally, patients may also have complications of pulmonary edema, and some patients may have increased heart rate, such as premature beats, tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and atrial park in various conditions, all of which are complications that clearly trigger other arrhythmias.
