Herbal Remedies for Melasma

Chloasma belongs to the category of sallow spot in traditional Chinese medicine, and the treatment of sallow spot can use Chinese herbal prescriptions such as Free San, Six flavors of Di Huang Pill, and Ginseng Ling Bai Zhu San, but it is necessary to use the medication under the guidance of a physician.
It has the effect of relieving the liver and depression, nourishing blood and strengthening the spleen. It is used for treating liver depression, blood deficiency and spleen weakness. Symptoms include pain in both sides of the body, headache and dizziness, dry mouth and throat, fatigue (lack of spirit) and low food intake, or irregular menstruation and breast distension.
Six-flavored Dihuang Pill, composed of ripened dihuang, cornelian cherry, Chinese yam, mudanpi, poria, zedoary. It is used for dizziness and tinnitus caused by deficiency of kidney yin, lumbar and knee pain and weakness, bone vapor and tidal fever (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat comes from inside the bone to the outside), night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, and the sweating stops after waking up), and spermatorrhea. It should not be taken by patients with cold and fever.
Ginseng, Poria, Atractylodes Macrocephalae (Stir-fried), Chinese Yam, White Lentil (Stir-fried), Lotus Seed, Semen Coix Seed (Stir-fried) and other ingredients. It is used in treating loose stools caused by weakness of the spleen and stomach, shortness of breath, cough, and fatigue. Avoid indigestible food.
