What’s the difference between implantation bleeding and a period?

Menstruation, i.e., menstruation, implantation bleeding and menstruation are generally distinguished by the nature of the bleeding and blood and urine HCG, with the most fundamental difference being whether or not there is an elevated concentration of blood and urine HCG.
1. The nature of bleeding: implantation bleeding is dysfunctional uterine bleeding caused by the entry of the fertilized egg into the uterine lining, which occurs only once and is relatively small in amount and light in color. Menstruation is a regular bleeding caused by the shedding of the thickened lining of the uterus, which is more frequent and darker in color than implantation bleeding, often dark red or reddish-brown.
2. Blood and urine HCG: If implantation bleeding is actually pregnancy, then the blood and urine HCG concentration will be elevated, while menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon, and the blood and urine HCG will not be elevated in general. The blood and urine HCG test can clearly distinguish between them.
In addition, in other aspects, implantation bleeding only occurs after sexual intercourse, usually within 6-8 days after sexual intercourse, while menstrual bleeding is not related to the presence or absence of sexual intercourse.
If abnormal bleeding occurs, please go to the hospital in time.
