Why do girls have Adam’s apple?

If a girl has a laryngeal knot, it may be related to her body being too thin or endocrine hormone disorders.
The laryngeal nodes are cartilaginous tissues in the larynx, and the thyroid cartilage plates converge at the anterior edge to form a certain angle, which is generally different between males and females. The male laryngeal nodes usually form a smaller angle, and the upper end will protrude forward. In women, the angle is obtuse, so the female laryngeal node is usually inconspicuous in appearance.
If a woman’s body is too thin, the cartilage of the thyroid gland protrudes more obviously, and the laryngeal nodes appear to be protruding. If a woman’s body produces too much androgen, resulting in an imbalance of hormone levels, she may also develop masculine signs, such as a laryngeal knot, a long beard, and an increase in body hair.
If a woman has a prominent knot in her throat or any other abnormalities, it is recommended that she should consult a doctor in a timely manner and under the guidance of the doctor to complete the relevant examinations to understand the development of the condition and take targeted treatment.
