Fractures of the neck of the femur usually take 5 to 6 months to reach clinical healing, and it takes about 1 year to return to full normalcy. If the postoperative care is not proper, it may also cause complications and affect the recovery. Femoral neck fracture is more serious, usually need internal fixation surgery for treatment, patients need a longer recovery time, usually in about 5~6 months. Only when the patient’s fracture symptoms are relatively mild, such as embedded fracture without displacement, this situation can be treated conservatively, the rest of the cases are recommended to actively surgical treatment. Because the femoral neck fracture does not heal well, it is not recommended to go down to the ground too early to avoid poor healing of the femoral neck, resulting in femoral head necrosis. In the early stage, only moderate isometric and isotonic contraction muscle exercise is recommended. Only after the fracture line is blurred and the fracture tends to heal, can appropriate weight-bearing activities be done. After the fracture, patients should follow the doctor’s instructions, appropriate bed rest, try not to do strenuous exercise, to prevent aggravation of bone symptoms, is not conducive to the recovery of the condition.
