Pain patients are often accompanied by unpleasant feelings and emotional experiences, theoretically, any kind of psychotherapy can be used for pain treatment as long as it can improve the subjective state of the patient. In clinical practice, the following situations can be subjected to psycho-psychotherapy: (1) the patient’s pain occurs with psychological disorders and has no serious somatic causes; (2) certain patients with long-term chronic pain have heavy psychological and social burdens, and they need to undergo emotional and psychological adjustments to achieve the purpose of relieving and eliminating pain. (3) Long-term chronic pain patients will develop some bad behavior patterns, to eliminate the patient’s bad behavior patterns, the need for patients to carry out psychotherapy. There are many kinds of psychosomatic therapies, and behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy (psychoanalysis), supportive therapy, hypnosis and suggestive therapy, and relaxation therapy are often chosen in pain treatment.
