For a 10 year old child with myopia of 200 degrees, if the myopia is true myopia, he/she needs to wear glasses as early as possible, but if it is pseudomyopia, he/she usually does not need to wear glasses. For 10-year-old children, 200 degrees of myopia may be pseudomyopia, therefore, parents are advised to lead their children to professional ophthalmology for a detailed examination of the eyes after dilated optometry, clear refractive state, to determine the true myopia should be worn as soon as possible after the appropriate number of glasses. Pseudomyopia is mainly caused by eye muscle spasm due to eye fatigue, which can be restored through the use of ciliary muscle paralyzing agents, such as atropine, or rational eye use. The medication should be used according to the doctor’s prescription. Wearing myopia glasses with appropriate prescription can relieve eye fatigue to a certain extent and slow down the growth of myopia. Parents are advised to bring their children to the ophthalmology department of regular hospitals for consultation, and wear appropriate glasses according to the prescription after strict optometry.
