Can you walk after nail fungus surgery?

In most cases, patients can walk after nail surgery, but they should not walk too much. This is because the surgeon will either cut off part of the nail under local anesthesia or remove the entire nail. If there is bleeding, sutures will be applied, compression with oiled gauze will be applied, and the wound will be covered with clean gauze. If there is too much localized blood leakage, walking is temporarily not possible at this time and a wheelchair is required. Sometimes patients are very sensitive to pain and are not able to walk either, so the decision will depend on the patient’s condition. After nail fungus surgery, patients should avoid drinks containing alcohol and try not to eat too spicy food. They can consume fresh fruits and green vegetables and appropriate low-fat high-quality protein, commonly fresh fish and shrimp, to promote wound healing.
