Pediatric mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome (MCLS), also known as Kawasaki disease, is a disease that was first reported by Dr. Tomisaku Kawasaki in Japan in 1967 and named after him. It is an acute febrile pediatric disease with systemic vasculitis as the main lesion. The high incidence is in infants and children under 5 years of age, more in males than females, and less in adults and children under 3 months of age. The clinical manifestations may include spinning of the nails, fever, rash, enlarged non-purulent lymph nodes in the neck, congestion of the ocular conjunctiva, diffuse congestion of the oral mucosa, prune tongue, palmoplantar erythema, and hard edema of the hands and feet. The incidence of this disease is 20% to 25% in untreated children due to the serious cardiovascular complications that can occur. So what should patients pay attention to in their diet?
