The accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity due to malnutrition causes increased intra-abdominal pressure and little or no urine. Some may have symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding due to repeated cirrhosis and liver injury, and may have repeated constipation or blood in stool, or even symptoms of vomiting blood.
