How to see if you have astigmatism

Patients can determine whether they have astigmatism through clinical symptoms such as visual fatigue and objective examinations such as computerized optometry. 1. Symptoms: Patients with astigmatism may experience symptoms such as decreased visual acuity, double vision, and visual fatigue. Symptoms of visual fatigue mainly include eye distension and inability to work at close range for long periods of time. 2. Examination: Eye examination mainly includes optometry, computerized optometry, corneal curvature meter and other ophthalmologic examinations to determine whether the patient has astigmatism. In addition, patients can also undergo slit lamp examination and fundus examination to determine whether there are astigmatism-related lesions, such as abnormal corneal morphology and corneal scarring. It is recommended that patients with astigmatism seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
