What’s going on with the shoulder joint clicking?

Shoulder joint clicking refers to joint popping, and the common causes include physiologic factors, frozen shoulder, and shoulder glenoid labral injury.
1. Physiological factors: many people will have physiological joint elasticity, mostly due to the friction of ligaments around the joint or reduced secretion of joint fluid. There are usually no other uncomfortable symptoms.
2. Frozen shoulder: it is an unexplained aseptic inflammation of the soft tissues around the shoulder joint, the pathogenesis of which has not been fully clarified, and it is generally believed to be a combination of synovitis and joint capsule fibrosis, which results in adhesion and stiffness around the shoulder joint, pain around the shoulder joint and limitation of activities, and joint popping can occur when some patients move their shoulder joints.
3. Shoulder labral injury: mostly due to trauma or repeated dislocation of the shoulder joint, resulting in injury to the glenoid labral ligament, joint popping will also occur when moving.
If shoulder popping is accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, one should consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis and active treatment.
