The exact location of Zhou Rong point is at the 2nd rib gap, 6 inches off the anterior midline.
Zhou Rong is located in the chest, 6 inches beside the anterior midline, at the place of the 2nd intercostal space, and has the effect of relieving cough and calming asthma. It can be used to treat cough, rebellious Qi, and distension and fullness of the chest and ribs (a collective term for the chest and ribcage area). It is commonly used clinically to treat intercostal neuralgia, pleurisy, lung abscess, bronchial dilatation and other conditions.
