Sandworms on feet can be treated with Leaky Lu Tang or Xiong Huang Cream.
Foot sandworms, in traditional Chinese medicine, most often considered as “foot dampness”, that is, in the superficial part of the toes fungal skin disease. It is often caused by dampness-heat injection (dampness and heat invading the intestines, bladder, pubic area, lower limbs, etc.) or exposure to dampness-toxicity;
Clinically, it is often manifested as small blisters and itching between the toes, running water after rubbing, and the localized area can be desquamated, crusted or ulcerated, and it is recurrent. It can be treated by topical application of Leakage Lu Tang or Xionghuang Cream.
Leaky Lu Tang has the efficacy of dispelling wind and clearing heat, removing dampness and reducing swelling, and is commonly used in clinics to treat wind-poisoning swelling and pain, wet sores (eczema), foot dampness, etc. It is usually used to wash the affected area after decoction. It is forbidden for pregnant women as well as infants and young children.
Andrographis ointment has the effect of detoxification and insecticide, and is commonly used in the treatment of various kinds of malignant sores, such as foot dampness, usually applied to the affected area. It should not be used in large quantities for a long time, and pregnant women should be cautious.
