For the frequent itching in the right side of the liver area described by the patient, it is mostly considered to be a case of limited itching of the patient’s skin. In this case, we should first consider whether the patient has underlying liver disease, such as whether he had viral hepatitis before, and whether he has been drinking alcohol for a long time, and whether he has been taking medication for a long time. These medical histories may cause the patient’s liver function to deteriorate, and the elevation of bilirubin may cause the patient’s bile salts to deposit on the skin and cause the itchy skin. In addition, some patients may have yellow staining of the skin and sclera, for which the differential diagnosis can be made by blood sampling for liver function. If it is caused by viral hepatitis, alcoholic hepatitis or drug-related hepatitis, active liver protection and treatment of the primary disease are required. In some patients with limited itchy skin, if there are no other systemic symptoms, it is also necessary to consider the possibility of localized neurodermatitis and other skin diseases.
