Pimples are medically known as acne. Acne on both cheeks is considered to be related to heredity, hormone levels, high sebum secretion, and proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes.
1. Heredity: Parents or grandparents in the family are prone to acne when they are young. Due to genetic factors, the child’s skin may be more prone to acne when he/she enters puberty.
2. Hormone levels: affected by certain factors, the relatively high level of androgens in the body will cause stimulation of the sebaceous glands, leading to increased sebum secretion. If the mouth of the hair follicle is blocked, resulting in cheek acne.
3. Keratinization of follicular sebaceous gland ducts: Long-term poor living and eating habits lead to increased sebum secretion. If the discharge is not smooth, sebum accumulates locally, which also leads to skin acne.
4. Proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes: Sebum gathered in the mouth of the hair follicle can not be discharged, the proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes, which may produce an inflammatory reaction, is also the main cause of local acne.
Acne patients are advised to pay attention to their diet, improve their bad habits, go to the dermatology department of the hospital if necessary, and give medication under the guidance of the doctor.
